The Lions are the defending champions after a tight championship game last year against Fox & Ginn. The Lions came back in the last inning to win 11-10. This year the Lions are going for it again! They are getting off to a rough start, however, and their record is 2-6. They hope to turn this around and do well in the playoffs. Come watch the next game on Thursday, May 30th. These Little League games are always fun with lots of action and local kids you know playing. There's also great food at the snack shack. Right now the standings are:

2(tie): Cornerstore
2(tie): Fairmount Market/Rotary West
3:Lions
Just so you know, Fox & Ginn was cut from the league and Rotary West and Fairmount Market merged. Lions games will be posted often so make sure to check in often, too! We'll have a side bar showing the Lions record and a countdown to their next game.

ReplyDeleteI agree, there is nothing like watching Bangor West LL games (even in the rain)!! You did well pitching the other night. Keep up the good work! So, what's your take on the umpire situation? I'm glad no games have been forfeited because of it, but really wish we had an official plate ump.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's good they didn't cancel any games. But I do hope that we get some behind-the-plate umpires.
